Standing Together: The Growing Need for Accompaniment in Oregon
In 2025 alone, IMIrJ provided 363 accompaniments in Portland, with October marking our busiest month ever at 68 accompaniments. Requests remain high as community members face mandatory ICE check-ins, Immigration Court hearings, USCIS biometrics appointments, and ISAP appointments.
Beyond Portland, we also help coordinate support across Oregon through the State-Wide Accompaniment Network, which we helped found. The growing demand reflects a clear reality: our neighbors are navigating complex, intimidating immigration systems, and they should not have to do so alone.
Your support makes this possible. Every donation strengthens our ability to show up, stand beside families, and expand this life-giving program.
