Interfaith Movement for Immigrant Justice
Carrying on the tradition of radical hospitality, putting into practice values of justice and dignity
Our Work
ACCOMPANIMENT
ORGANIZING & ADVOCACY
We accompany and equip communities and people of faith to advance immigrant justice through direct accompaniment of immigrants facing detention and deportation, policy advocacy at local, state and national levels, and collective action.
What we’re doing right now
Faith & The Vaccine:
A storytelling series centering BIPOC voices.
Founded in 2006, IMIrJ is in relationship with leaders from over 140 congregations throughout the state of Oregon.
We are an organization made up of diverse faith communities, faith leaders, and individuals called by our conscience.
What is Accompaniment?
For people of all faiths, cultures, and immigration stories we have volunteers who are ready to walk by your side, no questions and no pressure. We are a community who believes that all people deserve safety, freedom, and equal treatment.
Want to Help Us Right Now?
IMIrJ relies on contributions from individuals and congregations to be able to continue our work for justice and fairness for our immigrant brothers and sisters. We hope that you will join others by contributing financially.
And we hope you will consider a recurring contribution to IMIrJ. Recurring contributions allow us to count on ongoing income throughout the year. Our recurring income process is safe and secure.
